Java Developer

Front Office Trading Technology, Fixed Income

Jr to Mid Level, 2-7 yrs experience

90-100K base depending on candidate

Summary: Position is for junior java developer with 1-4 yrs experience. Any more than 4 yrs experience and person is likely to be too senior for role. Will develop fixed income trading software for sales. Will have direct exposure to the business.

Must have :

1) computer science degree

2) strong core java including collections, threading and caching

3) experience developing large-scale systems -their system is built for 4K internal users.

4) at least some SQL, the more the better, but they're flexible.

5) the manager would like someone out of finance, ideally JPM or GS, HOWEVER, he will hire someone w/o financial industry experience if they have very strong server side core java coding skills and very strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable them to learn business concepts quickly on the job.




Main Function


The Pricing and Trade Capture group provides technology solutions for the Bank's Sales organization. The global team based in New York, London, Singapore and Tokyo develops and supports Sales Trade Entry and Post Trade applications across several asset classes and products: Agency, Corporate, CP, Governments, High Yield, High Grade Credit, Mortgage, Municipal Bonds, Rates and Credit Derivatives




Main Duties


Basic Qualifications
3 years + Core Java
Bachelors Degree
Prior experience with Multi-threading programming
Prior experience with Messaging (at least one of JMS, TIBCO RV, MQ )
Prior experience with Database (MS SQL server/Sybase/Oracle)
Prior experience with XML
Prior experience with Linux/Unix
Preferred Qualifications:
