Summary:  Web Server Admin to support JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic, IIS Server Environment.  Looking for midlevel person with 5-10 years of experience.   

Must know HTTP protocol, SSL. 



The Global Technology Infrastructure Services organization provides hardware, network, software and application infrastructure services to the global

operations of the Banks Capital Markets, Wealth and Retail division. 
Main Function
The Middleware component of the Global Technology Infrastructure Services organization  incorporates the “Oracle and Open Source Web Hosting” team which

is responsible for managing a number of the primary underlying shared infrastructure services. These include: Web servers; Java Application servers;

HTTP proxy servers; Java Grid Caches; LDAP authentication services; PKI and SSL certificate issue/control; and associated monitoring and control

applications.
Main Duties
The team is responsible for the infrastructure provision, control and support of the global web hosting infrastructure. The main duties include:
2nd / 3rd line support of the environment, including support escalation and change management.
Co-operative working with offshore 1st / 2nd line environment support team colleagues
Subject Matter Expert for a handful of the technologies within the team
Consultancy and assistance to business projects who are on-boarding, ensuring that cost-appropriate and cost-transparent hosting and application

technology are considered and that implementation choices balance business benefit and lifecycle cost
Ensuring and auditing compliance to security standards
Defining architectural strategy in co-operation with application development and production engineering teams
Lifecycle management of all technologies in the Oracle and Open Source Web Hosting team area
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications


Bachelors Degree
5 years + experience working in a large web services infrastructure in an enterprise sized organization.

Preferred Qualifcations
Experience in a senior IT support or engineering role.
Experience supporting complex web environments and applications.
Experience supporting eCommerce applications.
Hands-on technical skills, with an emphasis on troubleshooting and rapid service restoration.
Ability to work in a distributed global team
Capable of effective written and verbal communication with co-workers.

JBOSS
Linux (RHEL preferred) and Windows operating systems.
Multi-tier web hosting architecture and operation
Active Directory and LDAP authentication services
Client certificates and Single Sign On technologies
DMZ Infrastructure
Hardened web server configuration and operation.
Web performance monitoring
SSL and PKI.
TCP/IP and switched/routed networks.
