Application Support Tech Leading Financial Company/ NJ AVP Level, 80-120K base +bonus   Summary:  Position is for a production support analyst with 3-8 yrs of experience.  Must have Clearvision which is a middle-office matching and clearing system for listed derivatives .   They would also prefer experience with GMI which is back-office clearing and accounting software solution for listed derivatives (but this is not required).   Most firms use this software to trade Futures which is the business experience/ knowledge also being sought for this role.        Provide end to end Application Management for the Global Futures business, including clearing brokerage service, exchange traded derivatives, commodity, financial and equity futures & options, settlements, margins and collateral management. Main Duties Use SunGard GMI AS400 to support futures and options applications, including incident management, root cause diagnosis, and post-mortem resolution. Analyze various queries relating to futures trading and collateral management, clearing brokerage service, financial and equity futures & options, end of day settlement, and calculation of margin. Use SunGard Clearvision and trade FIXML message format (including trade capture, matching, and acknowledgment and confirmation messages) to analyze and support clearing and settlement of Future & Option trades, including smart gateways, member servers, and security servers. Understand various Trade types that are cleared using Clearvision including Trade At Settlement Price (TAS) and Average Price trades (APS). Set up new trading and clearance systems on current and emerging market Futures Exchanges using Clearvision. Use MQ and Tibco to analyze trade types, confirmations, acknowledgements and executions received from various exchanges. Use C#.net, Java, Shell/Perl scripting, Asp.net, Javascript, VBscript, DHTML, VBA, VB6.0, VB.net, Autosys 4.0,Informatica, Unix, Linux and PL/SQL to develop automated processes for log archiving, develop reports for business users, develop and support applications for cash flows feeding downstream systems, and debug scripts and processes to resolve production issues. Use Oracle 10G, Sybase 12, AS400 DB2 and RDBMS concepts to develop data extraction and archiving processes for SunGard databases. Analyze support queries, support dimension tables for trade contracts, trade types and validation mapping, and support downstream data feeds for firm exposure and client reconciliations and statements. Serve as liaison to the Futures Industry Assn disaster recovery tests, manage disaster recovery tests for Futures area globally, created and maintained Disaster recovery procedures documents planned all setups required for disaster recovery scenarios, including failover and fail back of applications.Supervise two Graduate IT Analysts Person Requirements Basic Qualifications Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or closely related field. Four years experience in job offered or as Software Engineer, Programmer, IT Consultant Preferred Qualifications Must have experience with Sungard GMI, Sungard Clearvision, C#.net, and experience in Futures & Options.
