Summary:   Client is looking for Mid-Level Java developer (5-10 yrs exp) with strong server side core Java.   Person must also have at least a basic level of proficiency with messaging (Tibco or MQ Series) and SQL (SQL Queries and Stored Procedures.   It would be a plus if they had XML, Spring, Hibernate, Weblogic.    The client would like to fill the role at 100-120K base with total reward not above 125K(firm).  The BA skills and responsibilities below are no longer a requirement, just a plus.


Full Job Description/ Specs: 

Main Function
Business analysis, development, testing, deployment and deployment of various initiatives in Futures Middle Office space using Java, Oracle and related technologies. Work closely with global technology team to support local and global business stakeholders and their initiatives.
Main Duties
 
Candidate will be part of a team responsible for the development and implementation of projects in Middle Office Team.

 Time to market is very critical, as this role demand working in both strategic and agile development initiatives specially for Client on-boarding related projects.

 Work closely with Front Office Business & Operations team during Requirement and UAT phase.

Work closely with other developers in Singapore and with global MO IT team in EU and NY.

Adhere to the firm’s governance and control process, such as source code management, versioning, preparing
the release plan and rollout plan, verifying release and documenting the changes for further support by production support team.
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications
·         Bachelors Degree.
·         4+ years of experience in IT.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Expertise and hands on experience in Oracle (E.g writing PL/SQL stored procedures and database optimization).
·         Expertise and hands on experience in Java, J2EE (JDBC, Sping, Hiberate, JMS etc).
·         Expertise and hands on experience in Websphere MQ and/or Tibco
·         Expertise and hands on experience in Linux / Unix (Including basic scripting)
·         Understanding of the Trade and Settlement life-cycle.
·         Understanding of the Futures and Options
·         Experience of Weblogic
·         Experience of Coherence
·         Experience of Perforce & Cruise Control
·         Experience of TDD, Junit, JMock etc.
·         Experience of XML technologies (DOM, SAX, XPATH, etc).
·         Familiar with .NET programming language
