Server Side Java Developer (Web Environment) - Financial Company/ NYC (100-115K base +bonus)
Leading Investment Bank in NYC is looking to hire an Mid-Level Server Side Core Java Developer. Opening is with a team which develops Web Based applications and services for the firm. This group serves multiple businesses across the firm which means exposure to a variety of business applications, users, projects and technology. The team has collegial, IT culture. Financial industry experience is not required. Team favors candidates with Computer Science degree from Top Comp Sci Program and rich IT background
Position will focus on server side core Java development in Web / Web Services Environment. Position will also participate in front end development with Javascript and Flex. Front-end experience is not required, but person must be willing to participate. Other technologies in environment: Spring, JPA, Restful Web Services, JAX-RS, JAX-WS and Scala.
Team is looking for an experienced developer, but somewhat open to level of seniority - could be person with just 1-2 years of professional experience or as many as 7-8 years of experience, but more than 8 is probably too senior.
