Client Onboarding IT Project Manager
Top Tier Financial Company/ NYC
AVP 100-125K base +bonus
Summary:  This is role for a project manager who has experience with Client OnBoarding in the financial industry.   By Client OnBoarding they mean setting up client customers to use various online accounts, applications and services offered by the bank in any business line.   
The role resides in the Client Facing Technology (CFT) Group within the Bank.  CFT delivers technology solutions to key client-facing businesses, which enable them to differentiate The Bank to our clients, including trade and client lifecycle tools as well as sophisticated qualitative and quantitative reporting and client analytics.
Main Function
The Bank has launched a strategic initiative to review and re-engineer its client onboarding processes. The onboarding processes drive the introduction of new revenue to the firm. The scope of the process begins with the front office identifying new business opportunities and also includes the supporting infrastructures (KYC, Compliance, Credit Risk, Legal and Operations) processing of this new client request.  In its current state, the process is de-centralized, inefficient and not optimized from an efficiency, cost and client experience perspective.

The objectives of the program are to:

1. Faster onboarding and setup turnarounds without compromising on risk or regulatory requirements 
2. Reduced client onboarding administration - processing and operational costs 
3. Increased visibility at every stage of the process 
4. Enhanced client experience and reduced client touch points
The role is to provide hands-on support for the Technology workstream within the Client Onboarding (COB) Program.
Main Duties
  • Contribute to management reporting with Project Managers when it relates to IT governance needs for status, portfolio identification and prioritization
  • Collation of CFT IT Monthly status reporting
  • Ensure that projects are utilizing PMO mandatory templates and artifacts to ensure program consistency
  • IT Project Manager in the planning of technology deliverables and communicating the plans to internal and external stakeholders
  • Creation & maintenance of detailed project plans covering all functional deliverables
  • Update required project/status reporting, meeting minutes, providing visibility on status against milestones, and transparency of risks and issues
  • Chair/lead key project  meetings, including steering committees and working groups
  • Coordination of activities and scheduling
  • Pursues excellence in all aspects of business
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree

Min 3 yrs Project Management experience

Min 3 yrs experience with structured IT processes and project management

Min 5 yrs of working in a major investment bank

Preferred Qualifications

Strong oral and written communication skills

Attention to detail and self-motivated individual with a high level of initiative and energy

Ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems

Experience in working with external vendors and technology teams

Experience in the full systems development lifecycle 

Knowledge and experience in investment banking

Knowledge and experience in the client onboarding space

Diligent in adhering to tight deadlines

Capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks

Ability to document and created structured presentations

Highly proficient with Microsoft Suite Applications including MS-Visio and MS-Project 

Proficient with MS Visio

Industry recognized certifications in project orchange management (PRINCE II, Six Sigma, PMP etc)
