Junior C# Developer
Large Financial Company/ NYC
80-110K base +bonus

Summary:  Company is looking for C# developer with 1-5 yrs of experience who is proficient in front end Winforms development.

Position Description:

The portfolio risk and margins team develop and support the bank's global margin requirement calculation system. We are building a cross-asset class, portfolio-based margin calculation system that also does U.S. regulatory requirement calculations and generates portfolio risk measures that used by our risk managers to review and assess the margin requirements.
Calculations are triggered by regional overnight batches, and they also run in on-demand and near-real-time systems during the day. Calculators are implemented in Java, and GUIs are in C#. We use Perl and Python to load data, to build tools for developers, and to glue the system together. We also rely on industry-standard technologies such as Sybase, DB2, IBM MQ, and web services.
We are looking for a .Net C# developer with experience building WinForms applications. The position will be broad-based across the team, with particular focus on enabling the Risk Management teams of various businesses to define and implement different risk/margin calculations quickly. This is a good opportunity to work on some challenging technical problems while at the same time getting exposure to market risk methodologies.

Required Skills:
Client side C# development, with emphasis on windows as opposed to web
WinForms,
Strong fundamental technology skills (OO design, threading, SDLC) SQL (Sybase preferred)
Design Patterns
