Perl / Linux Developer
Financial Company / New York
Analyst/Associate Level
Perl Developer position is available on the infrastructure team which develops the bank's advanced portfolio analysis and analytics platform.  This platform is a multi-currency and multi-asset class platform to deliver analytic solutions to clients; it is used globally to analyze the structure, performance and risk of client portfolios versus our industry-leading Global Family of Indices



Main Function
 The position is responsible for supporting:
1)      An advanced Perl based monitoring application
2)      A set of Flex monitoring UIs and consoles
3)      A dynamic deployment framework for generating WebLogic domains and deploying applications on them
4)      A set of web tools to support POINTs development and production teams
5)      POINTs Apache and Perl infrastructure including an advanced set of validation and unit testing libraries
Person is expected to build and enhance the tools that support the development and operation of the platform. Candidates for this position must have good analytical and problem-solving skills; Linux experience; and Perl experience. The candidate should be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and have strong communication skills.

Build, support and enhance the portfolio analysis and analytics platform suite of infrastructure tools

2+ years Linux experience
2+ years Perl experience
Preferred Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
jQuery, JSON or AJAX experience is a plus
