The ideal candidate will have: strong knowledge of the Microsoft Windows enterprise environment and standard applications, such as MS Office; superb  organizational and time management skills, with a focus on working efficiently; and a willingness to participate in off-hours support coverage rotation and work occasional late hours and weekends as needed.  Successful Systems Administrators are resourceful, with a strong ability to leverage search technologies and actively seek out information about unfamiliar problems. They also have great social skills: team members interact with all parts of a global business spanning many types of people and cultures, and our Systems Administrators need a solid sense for how to interpret the needs and wishes of different people through excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Other desirable qualifications include: experience supporting mobile devices, particularly BlackBerry devices; experience using and supporting SharePoint; familiarity with a Linux or Solaris environment; familiarity with general systems administration and an understanding of what makes for good IT policy; basic understanding of scripting and/or markup languages (for PowerShell usage/wiki editing in particular); experience with level one phone  support, as well as desk-side and remote user support; trade floor and/or Data Center support experience; experience using and supporting LANDesk for hardware and software administration; familiarity with Active Directory.
