The KDB Analyst will satisfy the Trading, Quantitative and Quantitative Research teams' demand for new KDB functionality by writing q scripts and applications and providing support of existing KDB applications. Another major responsibility will be the Data Cleaning of KDB Time Series, development of sanity checks, filters and adaptive data cleaning algorithms. KDB includes real-time and historical data used across the entire firm and across a wide range of asset classes.

The KDB Analyst will develop functions that provide access to KDB from various development platforms, including python and C++. He/She will actively participate in troubleshooting day-to-day problems with data quality and data flow. Other responsibilities will include managing the KDB time series repository and associated q library, developing tools to monitor the data acquisition integrity and the data quality and maintaining Sun’s time series database and associated q libraries.

The ideal candidate will have:

· At least 3 years of experience with the KDB database
· Proficiency in Q programming language (q-god level)
· Knowledge of scripting language, preferably Perl and Python
· SQL and data modeling skills
