This candidate will work closely with teams to write new software and support the existing software.  The  team writes high level code. This is an established area of business and growing rapidly.
 
Responsibilities:
  •   Full SDLC in a high pressure and time critical environment.
  •   Support for existing systems.
  •   Define development plans, associated milestones and ensure delivery on time and budget
  •   Formulate business solutions for users, clearly explain process / approach, and quickly resolve issues to meet deadlines.
  •  Write clear and concise documentation. Typical documentation would be application design, requirements and specification documents.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years professional experience writing software using an object-oriented language and a relational persistence layer.
  • A minimum of 5 years using C#
  • Expert Object Oriented Programming skills and design patterns knowledge.
  • In depth hands-on work experience as a software developer in an Investment Banking or equivalent environment
  • In depth knowledge of developing software that utilizes at least one of the following RMDSs: Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server 2005 or later
  • Sound understanding of data modeling.
  • Proficiency in Excel and VBA
  • Experience of Subversion, CVS, Clear Case, Perforce or other source control system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with enthusiasm for learning and implementing new technologies.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a positive and goal orientated attitude
  • Excellent  problem solving skills. Must be able to consolidate information from various business groups, analyze the problem or requirement(s) and recommend a solid solution.
